Tons of Seattle Fun

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic holiday! I had such a good time in Seattle I thought I would share a bit of it with you.  We stayed in downtown Seattle close to where my son and his fiancé live and walked almost everywhere we went…which means we walked every single day. It was my first time being in a big city at Christmas so I loved seeing the Christmas decorations.

It was so pretty! And there was so much to do…we checked out the new Starbucks Reserve Roastery & Tasting Room. It’s huge!

Here’s the inside…

The one thing I didn’t take a picture of is the little cafe where you can sit and have a meal. We had some yummy pizza and you can have beer or wine there as well. It’s not just about the coffee any more!

We also visited the Pike Place Market. I think that is something you have to do whenever you visit Seattle.  I like checking out all the fresh produce and the flowers.

The bouquets are seasonally themed and gorgeous! My son picked up one for their holiday table. They smell fantastic!

And of course there are always lots of goodies to eat!

I also went to a new store this trip…a bookstore found in the International district…Kinokuniya. This store is found inside Uwajimaya, an Asian supermarket. This store was so good that I went twice!

All in all we had a great time visiting with my son, walking around the city, eating, walking around the city, shopping…did I mention that we walked around the city…a lot? Seattle is an awesome place but I don’t think it’s really a city you go to have a relaxing vacation. There’s just too much to see and do.

So I am home now enjoying my last day off before I head back to work…hope you all have a great week!

  1. Thank you for sharing your Christmas holiday trip to Seattle. And WOW! that one store had some pens in it! I could almost smell the coffee and flowers from the other stores. Have a wonderful and prosper New Year. Big hugs!

  2. Your trip looks wonderful! Never thought to go to an Asian supermarket for other goodies besides food. We have a few in our area that I will have to check out!

  3. Looks like you had a wonderful time! I saw some of your pictures on Instagram. I’ve never been to Seattle before. Thanks for sharing your journey there!

  4. So glad you had a great time. Those flowers look beautiful! I used to live in the San Francisco Bay Area and I really miss the abundant fresh flowers. That store with all of the pens looked like a very fun place to shop. I don’t blame you for going there twice….. 🙂
