Hello everyone! I want to share the newest addition to my ever expanding collection of notebooks, journals and planners. It’s from the folks at Word Notebooks and it’s called the Standard Memorandum.
It’s a small, daily diary with room to write a few sentences about your day. (They actually have a great video all about the Standard Memorandum that you can find here.)
It measures only 2.35″ by 5.25″ making it very portable. You can tuck it in a small pocket in your bag, inside your planner or even in your back pocket! Since I already have a journal that I use (more on that in a later post) to write in and an art journal, I needed a reason to buy it.
So I decided to use this little book to find the happy in my day. I think it’s so easy to only see the negative…it almost becomes a habit, a routine. So each day I am going write down something about my day that made me happy. I am going to do this each day in hopes that it will become easier and easier to find. I might toss in something I am grateful for from time to time as well.
So here I was…pleased with my ability to find a reason to buy the Standard Memorandum when I stumbled across the leather cover for it. I tried to talk myself out of it…I did, I really did. The Memorandum is $11…pretty reasonable in my opinion. The leather cover…well that’s a little bit of splurge at $45.
But of course I splurged! There are three choices…black, tan or brown. As you can see, I chose brown. Monogramming is included.
The leather is similar to the leather on my Midori Traveler’s Notebook. It feels great in your hand…and smells yummy. It will be interesting to see how it ages. It has a simple design and allows the Standard Memorandum to just slip inside the back pocket.
I liked these little books so much that I thought they would make great stocking stuffers so I picked up a few extras. And I thought it would be fun to give one away! So if you would like a chance to win one…just be a follower and leave a comment on this post. I will announce the winner here on the blog next weekend!
Thanks for stopping by!
